I graduated secondary school at age thirteen, earned a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at sixteen, and finished my medical residency at twenty-two. My focus as Dr. Galen Hunter Christensen has been traveling the world to give medical care to people in remote villages…until now.
Sierra Jade Evans has pulled me into her orbit. This last year I’ve been preoccupied with finding ways to talk with her, wanting to know everything about her. EXCERPT
The air around us felt like a thunderstorm rolling in. The atmosphere was rich with electrical energy just waiting to explode with the first bolt of lightning. The hours ticked by and soon the pier was closing, and it was time to return home. The pulse of power between us was at an all-time high. I walked her to her door, not expecting to be invited in.
Her rich caramel eyes looked up into mine. “Tomorrow’s Sunday, which means I don’t have to rush to bed to sleep. Would you care to come in and maybe enjoy a glass of wine and just talk for a bit?”
Words had escaped me as I nodded, feeling my body heat with desire for hers. I’d been waiting for a chance to push Sierra’s limits, remembering the only other time she let me get close to her was at the airport, when I let my alpha-male persona come out. And right now, he felt like a caged beast walking back and forth behind the bars that held him there, just waiting, ready to pounce the moment his door sprung open.
I knew I should let Sierra come to me, but I couldn’t resist the temptation any longer. I needed her to see and feel what she was missing. I wanted her to crave me as badly as I hungered for her.
She opened the door and flipped the switch to one of the lights in the corner, illuminating a portion of the main area of her place. The moment the door closed, I pushed her back against the door as my lips crashed into hers, begging entrance.
Resistance is what I expected, her to continue to push me away, deny the magnetic pull between us. But I was met with her tongue seeking entrance into my mouth, too.
Her hands ran up and down my arms and across my chest, pulling me closer before circling my back. She dug her nails into my shirt, wanting to grip tightly to me as if she were scared I might somehow pull away. Not a chance in hell. This is what I’ve been wanting, what we’ve both needed.
I pulled her hands away from me, grasping both wrists with one of my hands before lifting them above her head. Pressing my body against hers, I anchored her to the door so she couldn’t move, while my lips continued to plunder her mouth before making their way across her cheek and over to her neck where I nipped and sucked at her skin, needing to mark her as mine.
I grew up in a small town in South Florida and moved to Central Florida to attend college. There, I married my friend, love, and soul mate and still reside with our amazing son, and a feisty, four-legged little boy.
In my books, I draw on my work background in healthcare and business, along with my husband's engineering knowledge.

In my downtime, I'm a voracious reader. I love to spend time with my family, cook, bbq, create new recipes, play the piano, walk, ride bikes, do cross stitch, dance, and sing. I enjoy the fact that we live in Amusement Park Central and so close to the beach!
